Rico’s Get Better Officials’ Development Camp
Camp Background and Special Emphasis:
With the Summer of 2011 nearly half-over, and the Fall approaching sooner than we would like, this is the perfect time to “Get Better” as a high school varsity basketball official. Our camp will strongly emphasize an enhancement of your officiating portfolio with a greater understanding and mastering of 3 man/person mechanics. This unique camp will be conducted in collaboration with Rico Cabrera, Jr.’s 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation, Rico’s Get Better Foundation, and nationally recognized, Rico’s Get Better League (click here to view highlights.) The level of competition will feature some of Southern California’s top-rated and nationally recruited Boys’ varsity high school players.
Our innovative camp administration is focused on instructing, evaluating, and mentoring each camper during an innovative weeklong vs. a traditional weekend environment. Each accepted camper will receive numerous opportunities to “Get Better” over the course of (6) days of competition. The venue is a state-of-the-art high school gymnasium with instructional rooms conducive to individual, as well as, group teaching.
